Co-CEO and Creative Director - Anjhe Mules

Born in New Zealand, Lucas Hugh Co-CEO and Creative Director Anjhe Mules studied at Massey University Fashion College before moving to New York and finally settling in London. Prior to founding Lucas Hugh in 2010, Mules had a successful New Zealand swimwear brand as well training at Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen.  Drawing on her extensive knowledge of technical sportswear design and stretch fabrics, alongside her personal commitment to a high performing body and mind, Lucas Hugh designs express both style and functionality. Almost a decade on and Mules has stayed true to her strong design ethos producing unparalleled sportswear products. Lucas Hugh has redefined performance wear by artfully spinning athletic functionality into refined tailoring with a high fashion look.












Lucas Hugh was founded, involving extensive research and development into design, materials and production.

Developed production prototypes in multiple locations in Europe and Asia before settling on European-based factories with Italian fabric mills. The first activewear brand to incorporate the fully-bonded seam as used in Olympic quality swimwear.

Launched with a range of nine products in collaboration with artist Tahnee Lonsdale. NET-A-PORTER is the first wholesale client to pick up the line.

Winner of Walpole British Luxury Brand of Tomorrow.

Winner of Walpole British Luxury Brand of Tomorrow. Created an Olympic themed window display for Browns in Mayfair to celebrate the London Olympics.

Designed and developed training costumes featured in the “Hunger Games, Catching Fire” film.
