LUCAS HUGH is driven to advance the future activewear by delivering unparalleled designs for your personal best. Founded in 2010, co-CEO and Creative Director Anjhe Marcus spent two years in developing LUCAS HUGH’s signature designs, sourcing the premium Italian performance fabrics and developing the coveted tailored fit. Since the inaugural collection, LUCAS HUGH has continued to work with innovative production partners to stay at the forefront of activewear design. LUCAS HUGH was the first brand to incorporate the fully-bonded seam - used in Olympic-quality swimwear - into activewear. The brand caught fire with the release of The Hunger Games in 2013 where Anjhe designed and developed the training outfits featured in the film. Today, customers are able to experience performance with LUCAS HUGH through our global online shop LucasHugh.com and in our retail boutique in Chelsea, London. LUCAS HUGH is designed at our London studio, produced in Europe with innovative partners and made with high-quality technical Italian fabrics. In Spring 2019, LUCAS HUGH opened a second temporary boutique in London - aptly named ‘The Fitting Room’ - for local and international clients to experience the fit and feel of our technical designs. The boutique allowed customers to shop the full seasonal and core collections as well as exclusive products. Although our boutique is now closed, customers can shop the full collection online at LucasHugh.com. Born in New Zealand, Anjhe Marcus (formerly Mules) studied design at Massey University Fashion College before launching her first business designing swimwear. Following the success of her swimwear brand, Anjhe sought international fashion industry experience, moving to New York to work with Marc Jacobs and later London to work with Alexander McQueen.
As an entrepreneur, Anjhe recognised a gap in the market for high-quality women’s activewear that is designed for performance and style. Drawing on her knowledge of technical sportswear design and construction, Anjhe spent two years developing the brand’s signature designs and innovative production partners before launching LUCAS HUGH in 2010. Almost a decade on and Anjhe has stayed true to her strong design ethos using a forward-thinking approach to deliver unparalleled designs. Today Anjhe runs the business with her husband and co-CEO Jason Marcus, overseeing all elements of the brand experience from design to customer service.

LUCAS HUGH's signature Bonded Performance styles offer unparalleled support due to the Italian made moisture-wicking, UV protected and compression fabric. LUCAS HUGH was the first to incorporate the fully-bonded seam in activewear brand - a light-weight heat-sealed seam designed to minimise chafing. Cut to complement and engineered to support, bonded performance styles fit like a second skin. Feel the difference with the smooth finish of bonded-seams, supportive waistbands, internal lining for coverage and mesh ventilation panels for breathability. The collection is available in staple colours as well as limited-run seasonal colourways and original prints. Designed for high-intensity training and muscle recovery, look to the performance collection for uncompromised design.
For extraordinary comfort, look to LUCAS HUGH’s Italian made Technical Knit collection. To minimise seams and offer four-way stretch, the collection is constructed with a circular knitting machine. Made without any zips or clasps our breathable Technical Knit fabric offers excellent stretch and recovery making it an ideal choice for floor-based exercises such as yoga, pilates and barre. All leggings made in this fabric offer a supportive ribbed waistband, seamlessly integrated ventilation panels and an inner brief lining for additional coverage. Choose pieces from the Technical Knit collection for low-mid intensity workouts, and because of their unparalleled comfort, wear them while travelling too. The Technical Knit range is available across the season in our core colourways as well as limited-run seasonal colourways and original prints.
